Why JOINT Formula?
The JOINT formula combines glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate, both of which have a long history of use and research highlighting their role in supporting joint health and movement. The formula also includes bromelain to enhance the absorption of chondroitin; and vitamin C, to reduce free radicals and as cofactor for the synthesis of new collagen.
What is JOINT Formula?
Glucosamine sulfate is a naturally-occurring, joint-supporting compound, which is a precursor to the primary building blocks of cartilage tissue (glycolipids, glycoproteins, hyaluronate, and proteoglycans).
Chondroitin sulfate draws water into the joint tissues and hydrate them, allowing for compression when pressure is put on the joint and to rehydrate when the pressure is released.
Bromelain helps to maintain normal inflammatory balance in the joints by affecting both the kinin and fibrin pathways. Bromelain also increases the absorption of chondroitin sulfate.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that reduces free radicals and is a cofactor to enzymes critical for the synthesis of new collagen.
